The tender Centrumlijn Noord in Pijnacker-Nootdorp concerns an area development with approximately 330 homes, a mobility hub and a public station area at the metro station.
WijCK consists of approximately 330 homes divided into four residential blocks. The housing offer is mainly focused on the affordable segment. About 40% will be in the social segment, 37% in the middle segment and 23% in the upper segment. MeetIt is a place where residents meet in the green courtyard gardens with rich planting. The variety, setbacks, vistas with views of greenery everywhere and subtle color differences within a ton-sur-ton color palette result in an intimate, varied living environment. Residents can further use the running trail or usethe multicourt as a meeting place.
Sustainability plays a central part within this area development. The flora and fauna are attuned to the various native species from the Groenzoom, thus enriching the biodiversity. Within the design much attention is paid to heat stress and climate adaptation. Another characteristic feature is the mobility hub where there is room not only for resident parking, but also for P&R spaces for Pijnacker Zuid station. From this hub, sustainable energy generation takes place for all of WijCK.The area development is a collaboration between ZUS (Zones Urbaines Sensibles), WE Architects, Studio Komma, MEESVISSER, Tenderboost, Bouwinvest, Kwirkey, Continental Car Parks, Merosch, Nieman, Eneco, Proloog and Street-art Frankey.
