De Maasvlakte is the ultimate spot for wind-tourism: surfing, kiting, beach sailing, hang gliding or just strolling. The future array of 150 meter high windmills will only strengthen this image. The existing radar post is the only exception in this wind oriented area, therefore ZUS proposes to turn it into a WINDPOST.
The iconic mast will be replaced by a circular wall of propellers. The propellers divert the wind and turn it into an experience. The construction consists of two interconnected cylinders, a public winding ramp and a staircase and elevator for the radar operator. The outer cylinder is made of 749 propellers  which will generate energy, no matter the wind direction or wind speed. They turn the WINDPOST into an industrial attraction and give visitors the ultimate wind-experience.
